埃文Yionoulis

埃文Yionoulis, an Obie award-winning director 和 nationally recognized teacher of acting, is Juilliard’s Richard Rodgers dean 和 director of the 戏剧 Division. She came to Juilliard after 20 years on the faculty of Yale School of 戏剧, where she was a professor in the practice of acting 和 directing 和 Lloyd Richards chair of the department of acting from 1998 to 2003. She has directed new plays 和 classics in New York, across the country, 和 internationally, including Adrienne Kennedy’s He Brought Her Heart Back in a Box (world premiere) 和 Ohio State Murders (Lortel Award, best revival) for Theatre for a New Audience, Richard Greenberg’s 紫罗兰时刻 (百老汇), Three Days of Rain (Obie for direction, Manhattan Theatre Club), 和 埃弗雷特Beekin (林肯中心 Theater), 和, during her 20 years as a resident director at Yale Repertory Theatre, productions including Shakespeare’s 理查德二世 和 《不朽情缘官网app》, 布莱希特的 伽利略易卜生的 The Master Builder, 和 Guillermo Calderón’s 吻. With composer/lyricist Mike Yionoulis, she is developing the multiplatform project Redh和吉他, about five generations of musicians across an American century, 和 The Dread Pirate Project, about identity 和 anonymity across the digital 和 natural worlds. She is a Princess Grace Award recipient 和 serves as president of the executive board of the Stage Directors 和 Choreographers Society.
